Before You Book

What Actually Happens on the
Day of Your Pressure Washing
Appointment?

Every appointment starts with a walk-around before any water gets turned on, so you know exactly what’s getting washed and how before we start. The job itself usually runs one to three hours depending on the size of the property, and you’ll get a final walk-through at the end to check the results before anything’s paid. There’s no upselling mid-job and no surprises on the invoice; what you approved on the quote is what you’re getting.

Before We Show Up

A little prep on your end makes the appointment go faster and smoother. Moving cars off the driveway, clearing patio furniture and planters from the work area, and closing windows near where we’ll be spraying all help. If you’ve got a specific flower bed, garden, or pet run you want extra care around, mention it when you book; we’ll cover it during the walk-around either way, but flagging it ahead of time means it’s already on our radar. Our landscaping and pet safety page goes into more detail on exactly how we handle plants and animals during a job.

You don’t need to be home for most exterior jobs, though plenty of people like to be around for the walk-around at the start. If you can’t be there, a quick call or text beforehand to confirm access and any special instructions works just as well.

The Walk-Around

This is the part most companies skip and we don’t. Before any equipment comes off the truck, we walk the property with you (or on our own if you’re not home) to look at exactly what we’re cleaning: the surface condition, anything already cracked, loose, or weathered, and where the property lines and boundaries with neighbors sit. This is also when we confirm the scope matches what was quoted and flag anything that’s changed since the estimate, like new staining or a section that needs extra attention.

If your home has older brick, original wood trim, or anything that calls for soft washing over straight pressure, this is where that call gets made in person, not guessed at from a photo during the original quote. Anything we’re uncertain about, an odd stain, a spot that might not come clean, or a surface that looks more fragile than expected, gets flagged before we start, not discovered halfway through.

During the Wash

Most residential jobs take one to three hours, with a full house wash plus driveway running toward the longer end and a single surface like a deck or fence usually wrapping up faster. Hard surfaces like concrete and driveways get cleaned with straight pressure. Siding, roof, and anything delicate gets soft washed, low pressure plus a cleaning solution that does the actual work, which we cover in more detail on our soft washing page. Expect some noise for the duration and, depending on the job, a bit of foot traffic around the exterior of the house as we work section by section.

After the Wash

Everything gets a final rinse before we call the job done, and surfaces typically need a couple hours to fully dry depending on the weather that day. We walk the property with you again at the end so you can see the results firsthand and flag anything you’d like touched up before we leave. Photos of the finished work are part of how we document every job, the same process behind the case studies on our site.

Payment

Payment happens at the end of the job once you’ve seen the results and confirmed everything looks right, not before. We accept the payment methods listed on your quote, and the final invoice matches what was agreed on upfront; no add-on charges show up that weren’t already discussed.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Being home isn’t required for most jobs, though you’re welcome to be there for the walk-around; a quick call or text ahead of time covers access and any special instructions if you can’t make it.

Most residential jobs run one to three hours, with the total time depending on property size and how many surfaces are included, a driveway alone is much quicker than a full house wash.

Light rain partway through a job sometimes means pausing or rescheduling depending on timing and intensity, and our weather scheduling page covers exactly how we handle that call.

Equipment and hoses get packed up and the work area gets left as we found it, aside from a cleaner house, driveway, or deck than when we arrived.

We walk the property with you before calling anything final specifically so touch-ups happen on the spot, not after we’ve already loaded the truck and left.
