Soft Washing for the Siding, Pressure Washing for the Patio
The Home’s Exterior Needed a Refresh
Sarah wanted her Georgetown home looking its best before the family came to visit. The siding had picked up dirt and algae over time, and the patio had the kind of grime that builds up from weather and regular use. With guests coming, she scheduled both a house wash and a patio cleaning at once.
What We Did
For the siding, we used a soft washing approach instead of high pressure. We applied a cleaning solution that breaks down algae and mildew, let it sit, then rinses it off at low pressure. This gets the buildup off without the risk of cracking paint or forcing water behind the siding. Before starting, we pre soaked the landscaping around the house and covered nearby plants so they stayed protected through the whole job.
The patio needed a different approach. Concrete can handle more pressure than siding, so we pretreated the surface to loosen dirt and algae, then cleaned it with a surface cleaner for even coverage across the whole patio. We finished by rinsing away the loosened grime and checking the surface for any spots that needed a second pass.
The Result
The siding came out brighter and more uniform, and the patio was clean and ready for guests. Sarah’s landscaping stayed untouched through both parts of the job, which mattered given the timing before her family’s visit.
